About Settled
Settled is a read-only Shopify app that tells you when your Shopify Payments payout will land, explains holds and reserves in plain English, and exports reconciliation-ready summaries for your books.
Why it exists
If you run a Shopify store, you know the feeling: a week of sales is done, the money is "on the way", and you have no idea whether it lands Tuesday or Friday — or why $400 of it is suddenly "in reserve". Shopify shows you the raw data; it doesn't explain it.
That low-grade payout anxiety — checking your balance, guessing dates, dreading the month-end export — is what Settled was built to remove. Not by moving money or replacing your accountant, but by reading the data you already have and explaining it clearly.
What it does
- Payout dates. A calendar with expected arrival dates for every payout, combining your payout schedule with historical bank clearing times.
- Hold explanations. When money is held back — a rolling reserve, a dispute, a first-payout delay — Settled flags it and tells you why, and what typically makes it release.
- Reconciliation exports. Every payout broken down into sales, refunds, fees, adjustments and net, exported to CSV, QuickBooks or Xero.
Read-only, by design
Settled requests read-only permissions from Shopify. It can never change your products, touch your customers, or move money. From your orders it stores the order number only — never customer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
What it isn't
Settled is a data formatting & visualization tool — not tax or financial advice. It reformats your own Shopify data so you can act on it; the decisions and the filings stay yours.
